The symptoms that can indicate if our cat is suffering from urinary problems are: painful urination, blood in the urine, constant cleaning of the genital area, urinating outside the litter tray, straining when urinating and not passing urine or very little urine. In the event of these behaviours, we should visit the vet as soon as possible to determine the guidelines to follow in order to solve the problem.

Feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC) is a complex syndrome. Environmental and physiological factors play an important role and stress has been linked to the disease. The breakdown and loss of the glycosaminoglycan barrier of the bladder significantly complicates and aggravates the problem. Management of this syndrome requires addressing the signs from multiple areas.

 

ADMINISTRATION

Initial treatment for 3-4 weeks:

- 2 capsules per day (1 morning/1 evening). 

Long-term maintenance treatment:
